We offer a free phone consult to new customers, please drop us an email to arrange a time. We can discuss your needs and you can see if working together would be a good fit.
FYI
We take enormous pride in helping our clients every step of the way, and always being there ready to chat through any issues they are facing. FAQ & Terms
WHEN AND WHERE DOES TRAINING TAKE PLACE?

As standard training is offered "out of work hours" - all day Saturdays, weekday evenings or early mornings; working around your schedule. Training takes place at your home, or in a convenient park near to you.

DO YOU OFFER RESIDENTIAL TRAINING?

Not generally. Dog training isn't a magic spell you cast over your pup - it's about creating a relationship, communication and trust. Your dog needs to be able to work with you - not us! We will guide you through all the stages of achieving your goals and help you see the fun in working with your dog.

HOW MUCH TIME DO I NEED FOR DOG TRAINING?

Every dog is different and it depends on what you want to achieve but you should aim to be working with your dog everyday. Now before you click away - we are BIG believers in working dog training into your everyday routine. We're not suggesting you need to have a dedicated hour of training in your schedule everyday. We train for short bursts - we do some exercises during our walks, during dinner time, even while watching the TV... We'll talk about clever ways to sneak training into your everyday life.

WHAT EQUIPMENT DO I NEED?

We can discuss equipment needs as we go along but generally speaking we recommend a good flat leash (ie. not extendable). You'll also need a variety of treats your dog enjoys. If you need more information on treats feel free to discuss this with me on the phone in advance. I also like to use a treat pouch of some kind for reasons we will discuss in your session. You can see a list of some of my preferred equipment here but don't feel like you need to rush off and buy everything now. We can discuss your needs in more depth during our first session.

SHOULD I FEED MY DOG BEFORE THE SESSION?

Please feed your dog as normal. If your dog is used to getting a meal at certain times their stomachs will produce acid to start breaking down the food and then if no food comes we will have an uncomfortable dog! If you are concerned about your dog not taking treats if they are full, or eating too much feel free to reduce how much you feed in the meals. Please discuss this with me in advance if this is a concern.

DOES MY WHOLE FAMILY NEED TO ATTEND THE SESSIONS?

We strongly recommend everyone who lives with - or comes into regular contact with eg. a dog walker - attend at least the first session. Consistency is important for your training and if everyone is not on board progress may be limited. If not everyone can make follow up sessions then it is always good for the handler to communicate what has been learned that session and how to implement it.

While Bex's Dog Mob will periodically check-in on progress with owners, it is owners responsibility to book their sessions in. Group classes:

Once you have been accepted into our group classes you will be sent an invoice and your place reserved for 24 hours from this time. Once payment is received your place will be confirmed. Class bookings can be cancelled and you will receive a full refund if you give more than 14 days (two weeks) notice before the first class of the package. With less than two weeks notice class bookings will not be refunded except for in exceptional circumstances at the discretion of Bex's Dog Mob.

If this is not possible then please get in touch with your class leader so they can provide homework for you to catch up on. Any missed classes are counted as used and cannot be refunded or moved to a later date.

If during the classes we are finding that the training is not suitable for your dog we will discuss this issue with you and look for an alternative solution and use any remaining classes value as a credit to apply to another training product.

If we have to ask you to leave the class due to negligent disruptive behaviour or due to lack of observance of class rules (including, but not limited to, cleaning up after your dog and following Covid-safe procedures) then you will not be due a refund or a credit.
